Short description

The son of Icelandic professional handball player Alexander Petersson was born in Düsseldorf and moved frequently due to his father's professional career. His father moved to the Rhein-Neckar-Löwen, while Lukás' sporting career also took off. In 2015, the tall goalkeeper moved to TSG Hoffenheim at the age of eleven, where he became part of the professional squad via the various academy teams for the 2024/25 season.
