Draw against Freiburg

No winner in Baden battle: the TSG Hoffenheim home game against SC Freiburg ended 1-1 (0-0). Despite Hoffenheim having several good chances, both teams were goalless at half time. In the second half, TSG also had the better chances at first, but it was the guests who went into the lead. Following a free kick, Matthias Ginter scored from a short distance away (68). However, TSG responded quickly, and Tom Bischof swiftly equalised (73) following an assist from Max Moerstedt, meaning the game ended in a draw.

Line-up

Head coach Christian Ilzer made two changes to the team that lost 0-3 in the DFB Cup game away to VfL Wolfsburg: Jacob Bruun Larsen and Stanley Nsoki started instead of Max Moerstedt and Kevin Akpoguma.
