Stach: "We have to work for the luck"
Andrej Kramarić: "We made a good start to the second half and had many chances to score but did not score a goal. If you don't score but you always concede a goal at the same time, then you cannot win. I'm not satisfied; we can do a lot better and we have to do a lot better."
Maximilian Beier: "We would've liked to take the three points. We're currently in a phase where the last piece is missing. A few imprecise balls, the final pass is lacking and the cool-headedness is not there. We have to work to get that all back again. We made a very good start to the second half but missed the chance to make it 2-1 and reward ourselves for our efforts. Defensively, we played a good game and can be satisfied with that. We won't let our heads drop, that doesn't achieve anything. Now we're away to Wolfsburg, where we want to win."
Wout Weghorst: "We controlled and dominated the match. There were also enough shots at goal to score a second goal. But in the end it came down to small details and we only drew today as a result. We had a big opportunity for the win at the end and I also had a good chance to score a goal, but the quality of our finishing was not good enough. We of course want to win next week in order to finally pick up a victory again."
Anton Stach: "We're very disappointed because we didn't manage to pick up three points at home. It was not a bad game from us but we come away with only one point. There were enough chances to win today. Perhaps we're slightly lacking self-belief and the rub of the green at the moment. I hope that it comes back as quickly as possible. We need to continue to work hard to get that luck and then we will be successful again too. If we stick together as a team, we'll manage it again. We want to give the fans a win as soon as possible."
Pellegrino Matarazzo: "We wanted to choose a more dominant approach. We wanted to control the game in possession and shore up the defence well. Defensively we pressed high, that worked well towards the beginning too. The sticking points of the game were the goal we conceded and the mistakes in our passing game. Unfortunately, we were up against a very good goalkeeper today. The rub of the green is currently not on our side. We have to work for that. We need to invest even more. If things turn, they don't just turn for one match but for several weeks."
Frank Schmidt (1. FC Heidenheim coach): "We're very satisfied, it is always good to take a point as a promoted club in Hoffenheim, away to a team in the top half of the table. The only weak spell was the 10 minutes after half-time, we then gave away three major chances. Otherwise, the match could've gone in both directions. We deservedly took the lead but then conceded a frustrating equaliser from the penalty. We're now unbeaten in six games, so our self-belief is growing all the time."
