Grillitsch moves to Real Valladolid on loan

"In joint discussions with Florian about his future direction, we agreed that it would be best for his personal situation as a player if he could play as many games as possible in the second half of the season," said Andreas Schicker, managing director of sport at Hoffenheim. "We have therefore decided in favour of a loan to Real Valladolid in order to ensure that Florian achieves this goal."

Florian Grillitsch, who had already been under contract with TSG Hoffenheim from 2017 to 2022, returned to the club in July 2023 from Dutch club Ajax. Over the years, the Austrian midfielder has played a total of 196 competitive matches for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, Champions League and Europa League (nine goals/17 assists).

Since making his debut for the Austria national team in March 2017 against Finland, Grillitsch has appeared in 50 international matches for his country (one goal). Prior to that, the 29-year-old played for all of the Austrian Football Association's (ÖFB) youth national teams.
