General information

Stadium opening

The stadium usually opens two hours before kick-off.



Admission

It is essential that you print out your Print@Home tickets and bring them with you. Please enter only via the designated entrance (E1/E2). 


Food & Drink

All common means of payment (cash, debit card, credit card, mobile payment (Google/Apple Pay)) are accepted in Bochum. Only light beer will be served in the away section.



Alcohol limit

People who are visibly very intoxicated and stand out as being drunk may be denied entry into the stadium area.



Bags and Backpacks

Bags up to a size of DIN A4 format can be taken into the stadium. There is no drop-off point for bags larger than DIN A4.



Photo and video cameras

Film/digital cameras are permitted for private use. However, cameras with a detachable lens are not permitted.



Miscellaneous

At VfL Bochum matches, glass is not permitted inside the stadium and in the surrounding area.
 At this point, it should also be expressly noted that clothes of the brand "Thor Steinar" should not be worn in the Vonovia Ruhrstadion. The same applies to all other fashion labels with a racist, xenophobic, extremist and/or discriminatory background, even if this is not prescribed under criminal law.

Getting to the stadium

By train

From the main train station (Hauptbahnhof), take the underground line 308/318 in the direction of Gerthe/Schürbankstraße and get off at the Planetarium stop. The journey takes around 3 minutes. The ticket price for the train is included with your match ticket. The Vonovia Ruhrstadion can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes from Bochum Hauptbahnhof. When leaving the main train station, keep right and follow the Ostring past the Hotel-Hochhaus (Mercure Hotel), turn right onto Castroper Straße, after the Kirmesplatz over the next major junction, at the first corner of the stadium, you will find the away section (West).



By car

Address Stadionring 26, 44791 Bochum
From the A40, take the "Stadion" exit and turn left directly at the exit into the "Stadionring" car park, which is available for away fans. Parking costs for cars are €4. Payment is made in cash at the entrance.



Coaches

Coaches and nine-seater vehicles can park in the car park next to the parking garage. The fees for this are €10.
