TSG Hoffenheim and Alexander Rosen agree on contract termination

Bundesliga football club TSG Hoffenheim and former managing director for sport Alexander Rosen have reached an agreement on the premature termination of his contract, which was set to run until 30 June 2025.

Up until his departure at the end of July last year, the Augsburg native had been jointly responsible for TSG's sporting development for over a decade initially as academy manager and then as director of professional football before his appointment as managing director. TSG's qualification for the UEFA Champions League in the 2018/19 season also came under his aegis, as did three UEFA Europa League participations.

"Alex Rosen has done outstanding work for TSG Hoffenheim over the course of many years. Thanks to his great expertise, tireless commitment and genuine passion, he has developed our club on a sporting level and made a lasting impact on it. TSG's sporting development into an established Bundesliga club is synonymous with his name. This will remain the case. We wish him all the best for the future, both personally and professionally," said Jörg Albrecht, the first chairman of TSG Hoffenheim e.V., the majority shareholder of TSG Hoffenheim Fußball-Spielbetriebs-GmbH.

"TSG Hoffenheim was much more than just an employer for me, and I look back on an unbelievably intense, successful and emotional time with enormous gratitude, but also a certain amount of pride," said Alexander Rosen, adding: "Together, we have experienced fantastic moments and overcome demanding challenges that have had a lasting impact on me personally and professionally. I would like to thank all my companions for an unforgettable period of my life, but the time has now come for me to start a new chapter. I will remain connected to TSG and their supporters forever."
