As part of the International Weeks against Racism (17-30 March), DFL, the DFL Foundation and the 36 professional clubs in the first and second Bundesliga are coming together to take a stand for cohesion and against discrimination. Under the slogan "TOGETHER! Stop hate. Be a team", German professional football is using the 2024/25 season to promote diversity, tolerance, empathy, cohesion and respect.

Together for diversity, tolerance, empathy, cohesion and respect. Just a few weeks after the German federal election, German professional football is once more taking a stand for social cohesion with a league-wide special match day. Under the slogan "TOGETHER! Stop hate. Be a team", DFL, the DFL Foundation, and the clubs from the first and second Bundesliga are using the 27th matchday of the 2024/25 season to promote diversity, tolerance, empathy, cohesion and respect. The initiative is taking place in parallel with the International Weeks against Racism (17-30 March).

As representatives from the world of team sport, DFL, the DFL Foundation, and the clubs from the first and second Bundesliga are committed to the idea of team spirit - hence the focus this year on the appeal to "Be a team." Cohesion, diversity, tolerance, empathy and respect have a positive impact on all types of human interaction, whether it's within a sports team or a company. Because the way we interact with each other is an important factor in determining the results that we are striving to achieve together.

On the special match day, the message "TOGETHER" will be visible in the stadiums - the ball stands, match balls, corner flags and substitution boards will bear the logo of the initiative, which was created by DFL. Furthermore, in collaboration with partners, the logo will also be shown in the broadcasts of the games and via digital channels. TSG captain Oliver Baumann will also be wearing a special captain's armband, and the Hoffenheim and Augsburg players will pose together behind a banner.

The special match day builds on the continuous and varied engagement of German professional football which regularly uses its platform to further social causes. Special match days during the International Weeks against Racism have been taking place since 2012.
