TSG make comeback to win in Bremen

They showed the right response: TSG Hoffenheim won 3-1 (2-1) against SV Werder Bremen. After conceding early with an own goal by Stanley Nsoki (7), TSG turned the game around before half time thanks to goals by Anton Stach (28) and Tom Bischof (44). In the second half, Gift Orban scored a further goal for Hoffenheim (63), making the final result 3-1.

The line-up

Following the 0-4 defeat to 1. FC Union Berlin, head coach Christian Ilzer changed five of his starting eleven. Pavel Kadeřábek, Stanley Nsoki, Anton Stach, Finn Becker and Gift Orban started instead of Kevin Akpoguma, David Jurásek, Dennis Geiger, Adam Hložek and Max Moerstedt.

The scenario

TSG went into the game with 18 points and at 15th place in the table. Bremen were 10th in the table with 30 points.

Number of the game: 50

The game that began 0-1 at SV Werder Bremen was Anton Stach's 50th Bundesliga game wearing the TSG Hoffenheim shirt. Stach rewarded himself with the goal that brought the score to 1-1.

Moment of the match

The 3-1: Werder Bremen started the second half looking better and wanted to get the equaliser. TSG applied the pressure in their opponents' penalty area, won the ball and were rewarded for their troubles. Andrej Kramarić's cross from the right found the head of Gift Orban, who took a shot in the opposite direction of Michael Zetterer's run and scored. The decisive moment of the game (63).

Double of the match

The 1-1 and the 2-1 were very similar from TSG Hoffenheim's perspective. Hoffenheim brought the ball into the middle of the pitch from the right via a double pass, and then managed to shoot from a central position. First Anton Stach (26) and then Tom Bischof (44) took a shot with their left foot and scored with a flat shot in the right corner.

Outlook

Next week TSG Hoffenheim will be playing on Sunday again. At 19:30 CET, they will be hosting VfB Stuttgart in the PreZero Arena.
