Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Dear fans and partners, friends of TSG Hoffenheim,
We wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2025. We hope that you can use this time to recharge your batteries and enjoy some peace and quiet with your loved ones. On behalf of TSG Hoffenheim, we would like to thank you for your loyalty and support.
It has been an extremely eventful year for us as a club.
In the summer, we celebrated the 125th anniversary of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim with numerous events. Our first women's team hosted the Champions League winners from FC Barcelona as part of the big season opener in the PreZero Arena. At the end of September, we organised an anniversary match day featuring a special jersey and with many old companions in attendance.
Our U19 youth team have excelled this calendar year, achieving something historic at the end of May. After winning the DFB-Pokal final against SC Freiburg, coach Tobias Nubbemeyer's team also crowned themselves German title winners in their age group in the final against Borussia Dortmund. TSG are the first club in German football to achieve this double in the U19s; the team have immortalised themselves in the history books.
The Bundesliga first-team finished last season in an excellent seventh place and qualified for the UEFA Europa League, meaning that TSG can now welcome international guests once again in the fourth European campaign in club history. Extensive structural changes have been initiated within the club since the summer because we not only want to keep up, but also continue to be a pioneer - on and off the pitch, economically, technologically and in terms of sport. This process will continue into 2025 and will require patience as well as great drive from everyone involved. However, it is worth travelling this path together and we would like to thank you in advance for your support and trust.
Keyword "together": away from the winner-take-all game of football, of triumph and defeat, we hope that the values of cohesion and humanity will prevail in this country. We also remember the victims of the terrible attack on the Christmas market in Magdeburg - and hope for a peaceful 2025 characterised by togetherness in society, in clubs and in families.
With festive greetings,
The management of TSG Hoffenheim
