Hložek: "A crazy game, a great evening"

Here's what the players and coaches had to say after the 4-3 thriller against RB Leipzig.

Tom Bischof: "It was a very crazy match. Fortunately, it went in our favour in the end. After I was substituted off, we were all standing out there – substitutes, staff and coaches: Everyone wanted to win, it felt amazing. There were clear instructions, everyone knew what he needed to do. We should not do too much thinking, but simply have fun and play football. It worked perfectly exactly that way. I asked Andrej Kramarić prior to the free-kick whether I could take it and he handed the ball to me. I thought first of all that the ball was going wide but it was just right."

Adam Hložek: "It was a crazy match with a great ending. I'm very happy about my two goals, but above all about the three points, which are very important for us. We fought for each other as a team and also played very well. Football is a crazy game, it was a brilliant evening for us and certainly for the fans too. We need to keep going like this."

Jacob Bruun Larsen: "That was probably a super game for the spectators. It had everything apart from a sending-off. It was a lot of fun to be back on the pitch. I am of course happy about my goal and my assist in a short space of game time. Had I played earlier, perhaps it would have been more. (laughs) We need to think step by step, you could notice the high intensity in training. You could see that in the first minutes today too. We started very well. There is fresh energy. I'm not the best header of a football but that was a lovely moment and I'm delighted that we got our reward."

Christian Ilzer: "‘For me, it's a debut that you cannot imagine going better. The team has implemented a lot of what we set out to do. I like the character of the team, this mentality of always coming back after going behind three times and even winning. There was a lot of energy. It was an emotional game, a real rollercoaster ride, but in the end it was a wonderful day for us all."

Marco Rose (RB Leipzig coach): "Hoffenheim deserved to win today. Despite taking the lead three times, we did not manage to get anything. Each time we took the lead, we had the feeling on the bench that it needed more sharpness and energy. But we didn't manage to show that. That's why it's only logical that we conceded the goals. We didn't stop the cross coming in for 4-3 and then didn't defend it in the middle. Our current run of four games without a win does something to a club. It's getting stormy now. We want to give a different account of ourselves in the Champions League on Tuesday."
