TSG sign Paul Pajduch as new technical director

The Bundesliga football club TSG Hoffenheim have rounded out their new sporting management team by recruiting Paul Pajduch, a former player and previously technical director of the reigning Austrian double winners Sturm Graz. The 30-year-old Pajduch is thus following in the footsteps of TSG's newly appointed managing director for sport, Andreas Schicker, with whom he has already enjoyed success in Austria.

"It is well known that I have worked and, above all, successfully with Paul Pajduch at Sturm Graz in recent years. During this time, an enormous relationship of trust has developed, so I have never made a secret of the fact that Paul was my absolute first choice for the vacant position of technical director here in Hoffenheim. That's why I'm glad and happy that we were able to agree terms with Graz for Paul to move to the Kraichgau and that we will continue to work closely together here in Hoffenheim with the team moving forward," says Andreas Schicker, managing director at TSG, on the signing of Pajduch.

Paul Pajduch pursued a playing career as a goalkeeper before becoming a director. He played for Austrian Bundesliga club SV Kapfenberg, among others. Since 2018, the 30-year-old former player has been working alongside Andreas Schicker at Sturm Graz – initially as a match analyst, then as chief scout and most recently as technical director of the reigning Austrian double winners. At TSG, Pajduch will primarily focus on scouting and squad planning. Together with Andreas Schicker (managing director for sports) and Frank Kramer (director of sports), Pajduch will round out the sporting management team at Hoffenheim in the role of technical director.
