Moerstedt's dream goal secures point in Midtjylland
Personnel matters
Head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo made seven changes to his starting XI compared to the 2-1 defeat away to 1. FC Union Berlin. Florian Grillitsch, Stanley Nsoki, Valentin Gendrey, Umut Tohumcu, Jacob Bruun Larsen, Adam Hložek and Haris Tabaković started in place of Tim Drexler, Robin Hranáč, Pavel Kadeřábek, Anton Stach, Alexander Prass, Andrej Kramarić and Mergim Berisha.
The scenario
It was the first Europa League match of the season for both teams. Midtjylland went into the game as the Danish league leaders, while TSG were in 15th place in the Bundesliga.
Moment of the match
The late leveller: All the signs pointed towards a Hoffenheim defeat, only for Max Moerstedt to step up to the plate. The 18-year-old striker scored a wonderful goal via a scissor-kick following a cross from Pavel Kadeřábek and thus secured TSG a late point (89).
Number of the game: 1315
There were 1315 days between TSG Hoffenheim's last two Europa League goals. Max Moerstedt's late equaliser tonight followed on from Christoph Baumgartner's goal in the 3-3 draw against Molde FK.
Debut of the day
Seven players made their UEFA Europa League debuts. Max Moerstedt, Tim Drexler, Valentin Gendrey, Tom Bischof, Marius Bülter, Umut Tohumcu and Haris Tabaković were making their first appearances in the Europa League.
Outlook
TSG Hoffenheim's Europa League campaign will already resume on Thursday next week when they welcome Dynamo Kyiv to the PreZero Arena at 18:45 CEST. TSG will then host SV Werder Bremen for the anniversary matchday on Sunday (17:30 CEST).

Match highlights
Almost behind early on
That should've been Midtjylland's opener. After a corner, the completely unmarked Mbabu heads at goal from several metres out. Baumann somehow saves the attempt. The follow-up from close range goes over.
Second big chance
The next big chance for Midtjylland to make it 1-0. Bischof loses the ball and then things happen very quickly. Simsir is set up but he fails to beat Baumann. The follow-up from two metres out does not find the empty net, but it would have been offside anyway.
Cleared on the line
And now the first big opportunity for TSG: Gendrey is fed superbly down the right flank and then cuts the ball back towards Hlozek. The Czech's finish beats the goalkeeper but a defender makes a clearance on the line.
Another very strong Baumann save
Chances by the minute: Andersson is completely overlooked by TSG on the left and then fires perfectly towards the far corner. The spectators already think the ball is in but Baumann makes a very strong stop.
1-0
A long ball suffices: Midtjylland switch the play to the right flank. Osorio controls the ball perfectly, cuts inside and fires perfectly into the top left corner. No chance for Baumann.
Too central from Berisha
Bischof plays it into the box to Berisha, who turns and gets a shot away relatively unmarked. But his attempt lacks placement and flies straight into the arms of the Danish goalkeeper.
A late leveller
TSG get an equaliser late on: Kaderabek is perfectly played in behind the defence down the right and then plays it into the middle. The cross is behind Moerstedt but the striker somehow scores with a scissor kick.
