Another milestone for Baumann
The list of records held by Oliver Baumann at TSG Hoffenheim is extensive, including longest streak without conceding a goal, most wins and most Bundesliga appearances. A new milestone was added on Sunday: in the 1-1 draw with 1. FC Heidenheim, the goalkeeper made his 350th appearance in a TSG Hoffenheim shirt in the Bundesliga. Among current Bundesliga players, only Manuel Neuer (365), Maximilian Arnold (368) and Thomas Müller (495) have played more matches for one club.
The goalkeeper and captain already has a permanent monument at TSG: after his 300th Bundesliga match in a Hoffenheim shirt, a mural depicting Oliver Baumann was painted on the back wall of Block Q in the PreZero Arena. Incidentally, Sebastian Rudy has made the second most Bundesliga appearances for TSG Hoffenheim (295), followed by Andrej Kramarić in third place with 277.
Baumann has become a Germany international during his time at TSG Hoffenheim and could be called up for the national team again when the latest squad is announced on Thursday. He has already played a total of 481 games in Germany's top flight (131 of them for SC Freiburg). This puts Baumann in 18th place in the list of all-time Bundesliga appearances dating back more than 60 years.
