TSG take third place in the league-wide sustainability ranking
The results of the study were published on Wednesday 24 May in cooperation with the TV channel Sky. Criteria from eleven different categories, including business policy, energy, mobility, waste management, education and communication were assessed. TSG received top marks in eight of the eleven categories. "We see sustainability as a holistic approach that affects our entire organisation and therefore think less in terms of checklists and also are not thinking about any competition with others. Nevertheless, this is a nice confirmation of our commitment on many levels and an incentive to continue to actively shape the future," says Prof. Jan Mayer, managing director of TSG Hoffenheim and member of the board responsible for corporate development.
Only recently, the club, together with sustainability partner PreZero, were able to announce the successful certification on the way to being a "Zero Waste" stadium. "We are in the middle of a transformation process based on a fundamental attitude of being mindful of people and resources. Through networks and strong partners, we can help inspire others in this area and continuously develop ourselves in accordance with our future strategy 'TSG is movement'," says Mayer.
