TSG Hoffenheim presents cinematic calling card

TSG Hoffenheim has been pursuing its sustainable future strategy "TSG is movement" since 2018. The Bundesliga club has made a short film summarising what it is all about, which projects the club associates with it and how it reflects its own self-image. TSG is now presenting this cinematic calling card on all its channels.

At the forefront of everything the club does is its clear commitment to competitive sports and to developing young and ambitious footballers. This philosophy has not only helped lift a small club into the European football limelight in both the men's and women's game. It has also enabled TSG to become the most represented academy at junior international level and allowed numerous talents to make the leap into the professional game.

However, its mission statement now extends far beyond sport. In recent years, it has evolved into a strategy that comprises five fields of action under the heading "TSG is movement". Thanks to a combination of innovation and responsibility, TSG is strengthening its own development, realising potential and creating value for society.

The club's "TSG is movement" initiative reflects its attitude. It is therefore consistently applied to professional sports and forms the foundation for "rethinking football". Pioneering work that requires a clear focus. "A village with around 3,000 inhabitants has been playing in the Bundesliga for a decade and a half and has managed to qualify for both the Champions and Europa League. How is that possible? It can only work if we are mindful of our resources. Only if we act innovatively and responsibly in sports will we be able to be successful in the long term," said TSG Managing Director Jan Mayer.

This is how new ideas, projects and creative approaches have emerged in recent years. To name a few: a marketing model that combines social responsibility with business requirements, an internationalisation strategy that focuses on collaborations which all partners benefit from beyond the sporting aspect, the "TSG helps" assistance fund that supports clubs and initiatives from the region, the Climate Ticket, and the Uganda textile brand "umoja" – they are all examples that are representative of a new way of thinking.

Commitments such as the ambitious CO2 reduction target "Race to Zero", the "Zero Waste Arena" concept pursued alongside partner PreZero, and the development and sharing of scientific findings via the TSG ResearchLab are also garnering international attention.

"We have made our visions, ambitions and the resulting self-image visible for the first time – both as an internal guideline and a viewpoint that we want to share with our fans and partners. The result is a film that tells the story and the attitude of TSG in a matter of minutes in an entertaining and multi-faceted way. We want to take everyone who is interested in TSG on a journey and express our conviction in a way that is understandable at all times: On the move together. Us. TSG," said Denni Strich, who is responsible for the production of the film as the Managing Director of Marketing, Sales, Media and Communications.
