Hoeness: "We're going all out to win the group"
Sebastian Hoeness on…
…potentially winning the group: "We've already reached the knockout stages. Now we're going all out to win the group. We want to win tomorrow and finish off the job. Every victory is important for us and gives us self-belief. Prematurely wrapping up top spot would help us out as far as the final match against Gent is concerned, because it would enable us to rest players who have played a lot."
…the possibility of rotation: "There is no A and B team. We've always said we'd need to manage the workload throughout the English weeks. We have a day more than usual to prepare for Augsburg. We'll find the right balance."
…the personnel situation: "We still need to have a final discussion about who will travel. There are no additional serious injuries from the Mainz game. In all probability, Benjamin Hübner and Pavel Kadeřábek will not be available to us for the rest of this year due to their injuries. They're obviously both a big miss for us."
The opposition's form:
Red Star Belgrade are still unbeaten in the Serbian SuperLiga, with coach Dejan Stankovic's charges top of the pile on 44 points – nine ahead of arch rivals Partizan – after 16 rounds of matches. The Serbs are faring well in the Europa League too, where a point against TSG will be enough to secure progression to the knockout stages.
Head-to-head record:
The reverse fixture was the first time the two clubs had met. Christoph Baumgartner and Munas Dabbur scored the goals as TSG ran out 2-0 winners in Sinsheim and made the perfect start to their Europa League campaign.
