Adamyan tests positive on international duty

Sargis Adamyan has tested positive for the Coronavirus while on international duty with the Armenian national team one day before the match against North Macedonia. The TSG Hoffenheim striker is currently in Cyprus ahead of the last Group 2 Nations League match in League C. Three previous tests by Adamyan on 9, 10 and 13 November had been negative. In addition to Adamyan, according to the Armenian Football Association, other players and members of the coaching staff have been infected.

In addition to Kevin Vogt, Sebastian Rudy, Ishak Belfodil and a member of the coaching team, Robert Skov (Denmark) and Munas Dabbur (Israel) have also recently received positive results from tests while with their national teams. Prior to that, Jacob Bruun Larsen and a member of the TSG medical team had to self-isolate due to infections.

Now, in Adamyan, another TSG player has contracted the virus while on international duty. Adamyan has scored TSG's last three goals in competitive matches and will not be available to the club for the next few matches. After the last Bundesliga break in October, Andrej Kramarić (Croatia) and Kasim Adams (Ghana) tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 after returning from their national teams. At that time, Pavel Kadeřábek also had to self-isolate after a case in his family.
