Reactions to #FCKTSG: "Didn't need to be patient"

TSG Hoffenheim have reached the Second Round of the DFB Cup thanks to a comfortable 6-1 victory over 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Here we bring you the post-match reactions from the players and the coach.

Julian Nagelsmann: "I found that we had a strong 20 minutes at the beginning of each half. I said before the match that you often need to be patient as favourites, but today we didn't need to be patient. Following a set-piece Kaiserslautern came back into the match thanks to the support of their fans, but then at the beginning of the second period we killed the game. We knew that we'd often get space on the other side of the pitch to where the ball was. Nico Schulz and Pavel Kaderabek did very well today."

Kevin Vogt: "We got a very good foothold in the match and made a good start. But once we went 3-0 up, we needlessly let Kaiserslautern get back into the game. We could've played better there. We made a solid start to the second half and clearly won the match. Joe will definitely be buying the drinks after scoring a hat-trick. He played very well today. But the others delivered a strong performance too."

Joelinton: "It's obviously a wonderful day for me, but what counts most is the success of the team. I feel very happy at TSG. Now we need to immediately switch our focus to the Bundesliga restart in Munich."
