TSG beat Frankfurt in friendly
TSG have continued their excellent friendly form with a 2-1 (2-1) victory over league rivals 1. FFC Frankfurt. The goals scored by head coach Jürgen Ehrmann's side came from Lena Lattwein, who netted a direct free-kick in the seventh minute, and Isabella Hartig, who slotted home Maximiliane Rall's cross on 26 minutes. "But we also gave away too many chances because we always try to play our way out of trouble," bemoaned Ehrmann. "Sometimes you do need to play a long ball, we haven't yet found the balance in this regard."
Schaber and Steinert sidelined
The TSG Women will be without the injured duo of Ricarda Schaber and Judith Steinert in the coming weeks. Schaber torn ligaments in her ankle in the friendly with FC Zürich, as did defender Steinert, who sustained a similar injury in the aforementioned friendly against 1. FFC Frankfurt on Saturday.
