TSG win away at HSV
Line-up and tactics:
Having served suspension and returned from injury, Sebastian Rudy and Tobias Strobl returned to the starting XI in their usual positions in front of the back four – Strobl the more defensive of the two, with Rudy pushing forward. With Oliver Baumann in goal, Nagelsmann sent out a back four of Pavel Kaderabek, Ermin Bicakcic, Niklas Süle and Jeremy Toljan. In attack, Kevin Volland, Mark Uth, Nadiem Amiri and Andrej Kramaric led the line.
TSG started in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Kramaric leading the line ahead of attacking trio of Amiri, Volland and Uth.
After the break, the young coach made three changes: Eduardo Vargas, Philipp Ochs and Fabian Schär coming on for Andrej Kramaric, Amiri and Strobl.
Moment of the match:
The 61st minute. HSV are piling on the pressure and look the side more likely to score. Then comes the incredible Oliver Baumann. Gregoritsch heads on goal from six yards out and thinks he’s scored, but the TSG keeper stretches his arm and keeps the ball out. How did make that? Who cares! Sensational reflexes and a vital save.
Number of the match: 2
Finally. The second away win of the season and a second consecutive win. Also a first away win for Julian Nagelsmann! Happy days!
