Ten-man TSG lose to BVB
Hoffenheim have lost on matchday 23 away to Dortmund 3-1. The birthday boy, Rudy, put TSG one goal up but after he was later sent off, Dortmund pressure got the better of the away team as Mkhitaryan, Ramos and then Aubameyang netted.
Line-up and formation:
Julian Nagelsmann made two changes to his side that won against Mainz last weekend. Eduardo Vargas and Philipp Ochs were replaced by Ermin Bikackic and Jeremy Toljan. The manager opted for an interchangeable formation with two wing backs switching between defence and attack. After the red card, Hoffenheim had to go without a striker.
Moment of the match:
The red card for Sebastian Rudy. It was a tough one to take, but deserved. After that, the Dortmund pressure rose. "We wouldn’t have lost 3-1 if we had had eleven men on the pitch", said Julian Nagelsmann.
