Janik Haberer joins VfL Bochum on loan
Returning to the Kraichgau region, on the other hand, is Jiloan Hamad. The Sweden international, who is under contract at Hoffenheim until June 2017, was sent out on loan to Belgian giants Standard Liege in January this year. Hamad played six times in the Belgian Pro League, scoring one goal, before he suffered a posterior cruciate ligament tear during training in April. After an operation on his left knee, the 24-year-old midfielder is currently working towards making his comeback at the club’s rehabilitation centre in Zuzenhausen. He is unlikely to be able to be able to join the team for training before the second half of the season begins.
The management at TSG believe that Janik Haberer’s next step in his development would be better taken at VfL Bochum over the year. The 21-year-old attacking all-rounder, who played 17 times for TSG’s U23s in the Regionalliga last season, has been loaned out to the 2. Bundesliga club until the end of the next campaign. He has represented Germany at U19 and U20 level, and joined TSG from Unterhaching one year ago, signing a contract until 2018. Meanwhile, Tobias Weis will be staying at Bochum following his loan spell, with the 29-year-old midfielder having signed a contract at the club until 30th June 2017.
