Hannover 96 match reaction
Markus Gisdol: It was a tough game. There was a buzz about the place here today because of the change of manager. The whole stadium got behind their team. We didn't lose our heads; we defended well, were strong in our tackles and struck at the right time. I have respect for what my side achieved today. Neither team had many chances to score but that's typical of a game like that. However, we were clinical when we got our opportunities and that's just what we were aiming to be.
Michael Frontzeck: The team played well today and didn't back down after conceding early on. When you're near the bottom of the league, one good attack from the opponents at the end of the game can leave you beaten. I think we came close to scoring a second before that. I'm happy with the performance from the team today. My belief is still intact.
Sven Schipplock: Hannover threw everything at us today. It was an intense game. We knew what to expect and we didn't shy away from any challenges. It's good for us that we won a scrappy game today. It definitely wasn't a good match for the fans but it's more important from our point of view that we won. You could tell that Hannover were fighting to stay up. They battled hard and got stuck in.
Ron-Robert Zieler: We have to talk about the first goal. It was clearly offside. I'm a tolerant person but we can't afford things like that in a relegation battle. We reacted well after that but obviously we came away from the game with nothing.
