Sandro Wieser injured – surgery on Tuesday

Wieser already travelled to Basel over the weekend in order to get a diagnosis on the injury and unfortunately he will have to undergo surgery on his right knee. He sustained the injury in training and will be out for around six weeks – an exact estimation of how long he will be unavailable can only be made after the surgery.

Head coach Markus Babbel on the injury: “The injury is very unfortunate for him and for us as well. He showed promising performances in the pre-season preparation so far. He will have to be patient now. We wish him all the best for the upcoming surgery and hope that he will recover quickly and return to the team.”
