Borussia Dortmund 3-1 1899 Hoffenheim (2-0)
Holger Stanislawski: We played against a strong Dortmund team who did what top teams do and capitalised on our mistakes. They deserved to win and could have won b more goals. But I credit my team for continuing to play their football and trying to score, even at 3-0 down. After scoring ourselves, we might have got another, and that's pleasing for us to reflect on.
Jürgen Klopp: That was one of the best fist half performances that we've given this season. We were lively and active and remained and looked great value for our lead. We scored two fantastic goals and the third cam at an important time for us. The last half an hour sowed what the game might have been like had we not played so well for the first hour. We switched off a little and they scored, but it's been a good day.
Tom Starke: In the first half Dortmund had us on the ropes, but the goals we conceded were sloppy from our point of view. It was important to shore things up in the second half, and we did that. We played like a team in the second half, and not just a collection of individuals.
Sebastian Kehl: We played very well in certain periods of the match, and had a lot of chances which we didn't make count. I think the fans will be satisfied with our performance.
