Jens Grahl joins SC Paderborn on loan
1899 Hoffenheim's U23 goalkeeper Jens Grahl has joined 2. Bundesliga side SC Paderborn on a season long loan with immediate effect. The youngster successfully recovered from the horror injury he sustained after a nasty collision with Andreas Ibertsberger in training that fractured several bones in his face. He bounced back and went on to keep 15 clean sheets in 27 matches, in 9 consecutive matches without conceding a goal sparking interest for his services among lower league sides. “For Jens's development it's crucial that he starts playing and gathering match experience at a higher level than the lower echelons of German football”, stated manager Ernst Tanner who was obviously behind the youngster spending some time with another club that could afford him more opportunities.
