Ernst Tanner adds another string to his bow
As of 1st July 2011 manager Ernst Tanner will take on a new role as the Managing Director of Sport with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim Fußball-Spielbetriebs GmbH. Alongside existing directors, Jochen A. Rotthaus (Marketing and Sales) and Frank Briel (Financial), Tanner (Sport) will continue to be a leading figure within Sinsheim's Bundesliga side.
“Being appointed as a managing director is, in my eyes, a sign of appreciation for the work I've done so far”, began Tanner, adding: “At the same time it acts as an incentive to make sure the future needs of this football club, on a sporting level, correlate with the current economic environment. That way we can ensure that TSG 1899 Hoffenheim will be given the opportunity to establish ourselves as a predominant Bundesliga side.”
