Question time with Sebastian Rudy
Sebastian, you've completed your medical and signed the contract. What are your first impressions of the training facilities here in Zuzenhausen?
I am incredibly impressed with the training complex here in Zuzenhausen. Everything is ultra modern and in top condition. I think I will certainly adapt quickly to the surroundings.
After quite a protracted transfer everything seems to be moving at lightning speed. Are you pleased to be able to just concentrate on football now that it is all sorted?
Yes, I am pleased that it is all done and dusted. It's difficult to just block out all of the speculation; it's always at the back of your mind. I am looking forward to the next few months where I will solely be concentrating on my football.
Stuttgart used you largely as a wide man, but Ralf Rangnick thinks that you'll be better suited in the centre of midfield. Which position do you prefer?
With my strengths I feel I am better suited to a central role. But I am play across the whole midfield, and am happy to play in any position the manager deems fit.
You've been handed the number 6 for 1899 Hoffenheim this season. Does this number have any particular significance for you?
No. It is simply a classic midfielder's number and was one of the few that remained free at Hoffenheim.
When can we expect to see you on the training pitches with your new team mates?
I met my new team mates for the first time today (Tuesday) and will train with them from now on.
