Andreas Ibertsberger calls off national team appearance
Andi Ibertsberger will not appear in the upcoming national games for his home country Austria. The 27-year-old declined a potential squad nomination for the World Cup qualifiers against Romania and Faroe Islands in order to continue the intensive focus on his tasks at 1899 Hoffenheim.
"I told national head coach Dietmar Constantini, that I'd prefer not to play internationally at the moment and he understood my point of view," said Ibertsberger in Wednesday. However, Iberstberger did not want to exclude future appearances for his home country.
