The injury list at 1899 Hoffenheim grew and grew in March with Matthias Jaissle and Andreas Ibertsberger both ruled out following the match against Hannover 96. For Jaissle, it meant he would miss the rest of the season with a cruciate ligament tear, while Ibertsberger returned to action two months later. Sejad Salihovic, Demba Ba and Chinedu Obasi all suffered from minor knocks, too, and were unable to gain any rhythm in training or out on the pitch.

On the pitch, Ralf Rangnick's side managed to remain unbeaten throughout the month in spite of their injury woes, though they were unable to muster up a victory either.
