TSG aiming to end home curse – FCA on record run

TSG Hoffenheim will welcome FC Augsburg to the PreZero Arena on Saturday (15:30 CET / Live Ticker at tsg-hoffenheim.de). TSG are without a win in seven Bundesliga home matches and will need to defend solidly – especially since Augsburg are currently the most in-form team in the league and are unbeaten in 10 games. Here you will find all the important facts and figures on #TSGFCA at a glance.

Did you know that…

…Hoffenheim tend to do particularly well against Augsburg?

TSG have won 15 of their 27 Bundesliga clashes with FCA to date – Hoffenheim do not have more wins against any other club. Their record on home turf is strong too: there have been four successive home victories for TSG, who have suffered only one defeat in 13 Bundesliga home games against Augsburg (eight wins and four draws).

…Augsburg currently have the longest unbeaten streak in the club's Bundesliga history?

The Bavarian outfit are undefeated in 10 rounds of Bundesliga games (six victories, four stalemates) – a club record and the longest such run in the league. Augsburg are also the only unbeaten team in the second half of the season (19 points), with only FC Bayern having picked up more points (20).

…Augsburg are historically defensively strong?

With only three goals conceded in 2025, Augsburg currently have the best defence in Europe's top five leagues. Six clean sheets in a row is a club record and takes FCA's tally of games without conceding a goal to 10 in total; they now only need one more to equal their best-ever record from 2015/16.

…Hoffenheim are conceding plenty of goals?

The situation at TSG is very different: the Kraichgau outfit have not kept a clean sheet in their last 33 Bundesliga home games – an historic negative record. TSG have kept just three clean sheets this term – only Holstein Kiel have been more defensively vulnerable (two games without conceding).

…Augsburg have two defensive pillars in Dahmen and Zesiger?

Goalkeeper Finn Dahmen has the league's best save ratio at 92% and has gone 613 minutes without conceding – that is only six minutes shy of the top 10 longest Bundesliga clean sheet streaks ever. Central defender Cedric Zesiger has made eight Bundesliga appearance – Augsburg have not conceded a goal in any of those games. Nine games without conceding a goal would be a Bundesliga record.

…Hoffenheim have been waiting for a home win for months?

TSG have gone seven Bundesliga home games without a win (four draws, three defeats) – longer than any other current top-flight club. Hoffenheim last had a similar run in 2022/23 (nine home games without a win – a negative club record).
