TSG lose Baumann to injury
Bundesliga football club TSG Hoffenheim will be without their captain Oliver Baumann for the time being. The Germany international keeper suffered a tendon injury in his foot in the closing stages of Hoffenheim's Europa League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday evening.
"This is a bitter setback for us all. Oli will not be able to help us on the pitch as captain in the near future, but thanks to his strong personality he will continue to play his usual important role in the team and support the entire squad – especially in these challenging times. We accept this situation and will of course support Oli with all the means at our disposal so that he can get back onto the pitch as soon as possible," said TSG Managing Director for Sport Andreas Schicker.
