A little piece of TSG in Heidelberg: the new city store

From the region for the region: TSG Hoffenheim have opened a new sports pavilion in Heidelberg in partnership with the city of Heidelberg, the Rhein-Neckar Löwen, the MLP Academics Heidelberg and the Olympic training centre.

A new point of contact for TSG fans in and around Heidelberg: the new city store on Bismarckplatz in Heidelberg has been open since Tuesday. In the new sports pavilion, which TSG have opened together with the Rhein-Neckar Löwen (handball) and the MLP Academics Heidelberg (basketball), with the assistance of the city of Heidelberg and the Olympic training centre in Heidelberg, the club is presenting itself in a tangible way and all fans can buy all their favourite clubs' merchandise.

TSG Hoffenheim are thus once again strengthening their commitment to the region. "One of our major goals off the pitch is to be present in the Rhine-Neckar region and close to our fans. The new pavilion on Bismarckplatz is of fundamental importance to us in this respect, because it is intended to be a point of contact in Heidelberg for all sports enthusiasts who would like to connect personally with the TSG or receive information about us," said TSG managing director Tim Jost at the opening of the city store on Tuesday. Mayor Eckart Würzner was also happy with the new centrepiece in Heidelberg's city centre: "I am very pleased that we can breathe new life into this central place. Using the pavilion as a fan shop for the most famous clubs in our region is a great example of how creative uses can create real added value in public spaces. Here, we combine enthusiasm for sports, community and urban development in a unique way. I would like to thank all those involved for their commitment."

Ihlas Bebou also made an appearance at the store. The currently injured TSG Hoffenheim attacker lives with his family in Heidelberg and is pleased that a little piece of TSG is now also represented in the city: "It is a very nice place in the middle of Heidelberg, which a lot of people pass by. This brings us even closer to our fans. I have already found a cap for my son that I'll take for him." And so Ihlas Bebou became the first customer of the new store.

The sports pavilion at Bismarckplatz in Heidelberg's city centre is open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 14:00 to 18:00 CEST. From early April, the store is expected to be open six days a week. The initial phase before that point will also be used for market research. Visitors can buy a wide variety of TSG merchandise and tickets for home games, as well as other clubs' merchandise in the shop, and TSG is planning further events to really bring the pavilion to life.
