1-1! Derby drama in stoppage time

It does not get any more bitter for TSG: Hoffenheim led 1-0 away to VfB Stuttgart until the end of the allocated stoppage time, then Ermedin Demirovic restored parity for VfB on the follow-up after initially missing a penalty (90+9). Valentin Gendrey had fired TSG into the lead in the 45th minute following a strong first half. Hoffenheim defended passionately in the second half and looked set to take the win – until Ermedin Demirovic found the net (90+9).

Head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo made two changes to the starting XI that ran out 2-0 winners over Dynamo Kyiv. Tim Drexler and Marius Bülter started in place of Stanley Nsoki and Max Moerstedt.

Karazor meets the ball with a header after a short corner and prepares to celebrate, but this time it's Gendrey who makes a block on the line for TSG.

The opening goal comes out of the blue, but that doesn't matter. Kramarić wants to pick out Gendrey. Mittelstädt intercepts the ball as the last man, but then loses it. Gendrey runs clean through on goal and picks out the left corner with aplomb.
