TSG eSPORTS extends with 'whiteezz05' and 'Aymane'
'whiteezz05' has already been with TSG eSports since 2021 and has been a firm fixture in the licensed player squad in the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL) since January 2022. His strong performances last season played a major role in achieving a fifth-place finish in the South-East Division and qualification for the VBL-CC finals in Cologne. It was the second-best performance by TSG eSPORTS since the eSPORTS department was founded. Individually, 'whiteezz05' thus reached the VBL Grand Final, in which he narrowly missed out on qualifying for the knockout rounds.
'Aymane' moved from Eintracht Frankfurt to TSG last year and came agonisingly close to qualifying for the Grand Final in the VBL Open Playoffs. In the Club Championship, Aymane made a handful of appearances for our team behind Serhat 'Serhatinho' Öztürk and Fabrice 'whiteezz05' Weiß in the pecking order. Now the oldest player in the squad, the 20-year-old will take on a new role in the coming season as TSG bid to repeat the success of last season.
'Lubappe6' is promoted, 'Serhatinho' leaves TSG eSPORTS
"We're very happy that our joint path with Fabrice and Aymane will continue," said TSG eSPORTS team manager Gordon Lesser of the duo's contract extension, adding: "Fabrice is one of the faces of the team and a reliable cornerstone of the squad. Aymane has developed well in his first year and will come to play an even more important role in the coming season. By making these personnel decisions, we're laying the groundwork for a successful new season and are confident that we will be able to compete for the top places once again with our current squad."
TSG eSPORTS had previously promoted Luan 'Lubappe6' Waldleitner to the squad for the VBL Club Championship. Serhat 'Serhatinho' Öztürk's contract is not being extended, however.
