Becker successfully operated

Bundesliga football club TSG Hoffenheim will be without Finn Ole Becker for some time. The 24-year-old midfielder sustained a meniscus injury in his left knee during TSG's first pre-season friendly fixture away to FC-Astoria Walldorf last weekend. Becker has since successfully undergone surgery in Innsbruck with Prof Dr Christian Fink.

He will initially be joined on the sidelines by Stanley Nsoki. The 25-year-old Frenchman is suffering from an injury to his left ankle. Midfielder Muhammed Damar, on the other hand, is expected to return to team training in the next few days after sustaining a shoulder injury in the match in Walldorf.
