Travel and parking

Train:

From the main train station, take underground line 308/318 towards Gerthe/Schürbankstraße and get off at the Planetarium stop. The journey time is 3 minutes. The fare is included in the match ticket.

The Vonovia Ruhrstadion can be reached on foot from Bochum main station in approx. 20 minutes. When leaving the main station, keep to the right and follow the Ostring past the high-rise hotel (Mercure Hotel), turn right onto Castroper Straße and cross the next major intersection after the Kirmesplatz; the away blocks are located at the first corner of the stadium (West).

Car:

Address: Stadionring 26, 44791 Bochum

From the A40, take the Stadion exit and turn left directly at the exit into the "Stadionring" multi-storey car park, which is only available for away fans. The parking fee for cars is €4. Payment is only possible in cash upon entrance to the car park.

Bus:

Coaches and minibuses may park in the car park next to the multi-storey car park. The fee for this is €10.

The following materials are permitted in the away block for the game in Bochum:

• Flags (up to 1.5m)
• Fence flags (provided space is available)

Stadium opening and ticket office:

The stadium will be open 120 minutes (18:30 CEST) before the match.

There will be no ticket office on site.

Admission:

Print@home tickets must be in paper form. Please only enter via the designated entrance (E1/E2). 

Gastronomy:

You may pay with all standard payment methods in Bochum (cash, EC card, credit card, mobile payment (Google/Apple Pay)). Only light beer will be served in the away block.

Blood alcohol limit:

Persons who are obviously under the influence of alcohol and behave conspicuously may be refused entry to the stadium area.

Bags and rucksacks:

Bags up to DIN A4 size can be brought into the stadium with you. There are no storage facilities available for bags that exceed DIN A4 size.

Photo and video cameras:

It is permitted to bring cameras/digital cameras for private use. However, no cameras with detachable lenses may be brought into the stadium.

Miscellaneous:

Glass is prohibited in and around the stadium during VfL Bochum matches.

At this point, we would also like to expressly point out that the wearing of "Thor Steinar" clothing is not welcome at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.

The same applies to all other fashion labels with a racist, xenophobic, extremist and/or discriminatory background, even if this is not relevant under the provisions of criminal law.
