TSG Hoffenheim and Unzer step up their cooperation
"We're very happy to be continuing our partnership," explained TSG Managing Director Denni Strich. As a club, it is very important to inspire our fans not only on the pitch but also to keep improving the stadium experience itself. This includes keeping queues at the sales stands as short as possible during the half-time interval and fulfilling our visitors' wish for cashless payments.
Unzer provides mobile checkouts to this end, so that visitors and fans everywhere in the stadium can pay quickly, safely and in cashless form – whether it's with a credit or debit card, a smart watch or a mobile wallet. The so-called "POS GO devices" combine a cash register, card reader, receipt printer and scanner, and can be used flexibly anywhere thanks to cloud-based software.
The partnership is not only targeting digital transformation but also involves sustainable and social projects, especially in the field of women's football. "We're keen to expand our cooperation beyond conventional perimeter advertising and work together with TSG Hoffenheim in the fields of sustainability and women's football," says Pascal Beij, Chief Commercial Officer at Unzer.
In the coming months, the Bundesliga club and the payment company will consider together which sustainable and socially responsible projects they want to support. Max Steiger, the Chief Compliance Officer at Unzer who is also responsible for social affairs, sustainability and corporate governance, explained: "At Unzer, we're firmly convinced that our field of responsibility goes beyond business. TSG also uses the power of football to convey socially relevant messages. That is what sets this cooperation apart in a special way."
