Baumgartner the new vice-captain
All the captaincy positions at TSG Hoffenheim are occupied again: Christoph Baumgartner is now a vice-captain with equal rights to fellow deputy Andrej Kramarić. And Oliver Baumann now officially wears the TSG captain's armband.
Christoph Baumgartner, who has been a TSG Hoffenheim player since 2017, was already a member of the Team Council before the season. A position that became vacant after former captain Benjamin Hübner hung up his boots will now be taken on by the Austrian.
"Baumi leads the way with his performances on the pitch; he has matured into a senior player and assumes a lot of responsibility off the pitch too. He is one of Oliver Baumann's deputies alongside Andrej Kramarić and more than deserves the nomination," head coach André Breitenreiter said of the decision.
