Jacob Bruun Larsen undergoes groin operation

Jacob Bruun Larsen has made the most of the World Cup pause to have his persistent groin problems treated. The short surgical procedure was successfully performed in Berlin on Friday. The 24-year-old TSG striker will start rehab at the training centre in Zuzenhausen this weekend.

4-3 against Elversberg: Georginio bags a brace in Bičakčić's comeback

TSG Hoffenheim have won their latest friendly against SV Elversberg. TSG ran out 4-3 (2-0) winners against the side who currently lie top of the Drittliga. The TSG goals at the Dietmar-Hopp-Stadion were scored by Georginio on 23 and 41 minutes, Tom Bischof shortly before the hour mark and U19s player David Mokwa in the 63rd minute. SV Elversberg scored in the 55th, 61st and 77th minutes. Valdi Mustafa, Israel Suero and Eros Dacaj were the goalscorers for the visitors. It was a special game for Ermin Bičakčić, who came on for the second half – his first appearance for the TSG Bundesliga team this season. The next friendly match is scheduled for Saturday at 15:00 CET, when TSG Hoffenheim play host to TSV 1860 Munich. Tickets for the game at the Dietmar Hopp Stadium are available here.
