New loan club: João Klauss de Mello leaves Liège for St. Truiden

Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim have prematurely ended João Klauss de Mello's loan spell with Standard Liège. The Belgian top-flight side recently made the headlines after their fans invaded the pitch on several occasions and attacked their own players. The 24-year-old attacker will instead join fellow Belgian top-tier club VV St. Truiden, who are coached by Bernd Hollerbach, on loan until 30 June 2022. Klauss still has a contract tying him to TSG Hoffenheim until 30 June 2024.

João Klauss de Mello has made four Bundesliga appearances, five in the Europa League and one in the DFB-Pokal for TSG Hoffenheim.
