Kadeřábek: New contract until summer 2025
"Pavel’s been a permanent fixture in our team for almost seven years now and has become a firm favourite with the fans during this time. Thanks to his defensive and attacking qualities, he has made a major contribution to TSG's success and development in recent seasons," said director of football Alexander Rosen, adding: "In private, he is a quiet, down-to-earth and level-headed family man with a fine sense of humour. But on the pitch, he’s a tireless driving force down the right flank who has been one of the league’s best players in his position for years with plenty of attacking momentum and an extraordinary amount of running, sprinting and tackling."
Pavel Kadeřábek arrived at Hoffenheim from Sparta Prague in the summer of 2015. The defender, who has taken part in two European Championships, quickly established himself as a driving force down the right and a fan favourite. “Back then, the decision to move to TSG was the perfect step for me in both sporting and personal terms. I was able to develop fantastically as a young player and both my family and I feel very comfortable in the region. Thanks to our performances and our involvements in the Champions League and Europa League, we have together earned the club great recognition – even overseas. I’ve now played almost 200 competitive games for Hoffenheim and would love to yet reach the 300-threshold,” explained the 29-year-old full-back. “I’m very thankful to TSG for the fact that I’ll have been able to play for this club for 10 years by the end of my contract and am already looking forward to the future together with our team, the club and our fans. I’m completely convinced that our successful journey is a long way over finished and I’d like to keep contributing to TSG’s successful development going forward,” said the Czech international, who has 48 caps.
Kadeřábek has so far made 167 Bundesliga appearances for TSG, scoring eight goals. In addition, he has featured in two Champions League qualifiers, six Champions League matches (one goal), five Europa League games (one goal) and eight DFB-Pokal ties (two goals).
