First half-season awards for TSG trio
Oliver Baumann was the "kicker" magazine's highest-rated goalkeeper in the Bundesliga in the first half of the season. Hoffenheim's vice-captain, who made 16 appearances, achieved an average score of 2.66. Across the 16 matches, Baumann kept five clean sheets and conceded only 23 goals. Across all positions, only Jamal Musiala (2.39), Robert Lewandowski (2.53) and Nico Schlotterbeck (2.53) achieved a higher rating for the first half-season.
There was also major recognition for both David Raum and Georginio Rutter: Raum was voted the "rookie of the first half-season" by the online platform "Spox", while Rutter was crowned the league's "most exciting player" by "Sky".
Many congratulations, lads!
