TSG and SAP extend partnership until 2025
The technology partnership continues to be the central element of the alliance between TSG Hoffenheim and SAP. The SAP Interactive Data Space represents a unique worldwide innovation for the visualization and analysis of football-specific data streams.
"As far as we are concerned, SAP’s role goes far beyond the importance of a main and shirt sponsor. The fact that we at TSG Hoffenheim are regarded as an innovation leader in football for many projects would not be possible without the technological know-how of SAP," said TSG co-Managing Director Dr. Peter Görlich. "Our particularly close regional connection with SAP greatly facilitates the cooperation and perfectly rounds off our partnership," added TSG co-Managing Director Frank Briel. The training centre, scientific facilities and the TSG office in Zuzenhausen are only 16 kilometres away from SAP's headquarters in Walldorf. "Sport is part of our DNA. TSG has long been an ideal partner for us as a consistently innovation-oriented club," said Christian Klein, Co-CEO of SAP SE.
The close cooperation has been brought to life for seven years through the mutual provision and transfer of sporting knowledge and expertise as well as through joint development of new products and pilot projects. The findings gathered in cooperation with TSG Hoffenheim also provided important impetus and clues to SAP experts in the development of the ground-breaking SAP Sports One program, the first Cloud solution for the sports industry based on the SAP HANA platform. With SAP Sports One, clubs can efficiently manage their team and players as well as use analysis information to optimize performance.
