TSG to open season against FC Bologna
TSG face FC Augsburg this Saturday in their final match of the 2016/17 Bundesliga season. And now the club has confirmed its first match for next season, which will be against FC Bologna and will take place at the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena on Saturday, 5th August at 15:30 CEST. The match against the Serie A side will be Hoffenheim’s final test before they kick off their season one week later in the DFB Cup.
Bologna are currently in 15th in Serie A with two games still to play. Notable players in the squad are forward Mattia Destro as well as Ladislav Krejci, who plays for the Czech Republic alongside Pavel Kaderabek. In addition, former AC Milan midfielder Roberto Donadoni is head coach of the Italian club. During his playing career, he won the European Cup three times as well becoming champions of Italy on six occasions.
Julian Nagelsmann’s men will take on Belgian club Standard de Liège a month before, just a few days before ending their training camp in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The match against the ten-time Belgian champions will be on Saturday, 8th July at 15:00 CEST.
