Rudy stars in Germany victory
Germany won an important European Championship qualifier against Georgia in Tbilisi on Sunday evening. TSG's Sebastian Rudy played a key role in the success.
Hoffenheim's number six was in the starting line-up and played in the back four alongside Jerome Boateng, Mats Hummels and Jonas Hector. Rudy impressed in the game, although he didn't have too much defending to do. Georgia were very defensive, which meant that he was involved predominantly in an attacking sense.
In the 26th minute he played a neat one-two in the box before playing a great ball in to Thomas Müller, however, the chance wasn't converted. On the hour mark his precise cross was fired against the bar by Marco Reus.
Reus and Müller scored Germany's goals. Both came before the break.
