Hoffenheim sign Afriyie Acquah
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have signed Ghanaian international Afriyie Acquah. The 21-year-old will make an immediate switch to TSG and has signed a contract with the club until June 30th 2017. Acquah has recently been playing in the Italian Serie A with AC Parma.
Parma, currently placed ninth in the Italian top flight, took the defensive midfielder out on loan from Sicilian league rivals US Palermo at the start of the season. The 21-year-old has made 44 appearances in Serie A and has also picked up two international caps for Ghana.
TSG sporting director Andreas Müller: “Despite his young age, Afriyie Acquah has the class and above all the desire to help out TSG. On top of that, he can play in a position that we are lacking options in at the moment due to injuries.”
