1. FC Nürnberg 0-2 1899 Hoffenheim – Match Reaction

TSG Hoffenheim put an end to their poor run of form away from home with a 2-0 success in Nürnberg today. Find out here what the players and managers of the respective sides had to say about the result.

Holger Stanislawski: I'm delighted for the players. They stuck to the plan we devised this week. We were solid at the back and also looked dangerous going forward. The red card did give us an advantage, but that was only because we looked so strong. It's a welcome result and I hope the team can harness the confidence that this win will bring, even when there are setbacks in the future.

Dieter Hecking: We deserved to lose because Hoffenheim were more ready than us in the first half. We didn't make the most of the opportunities we managed to engineer. Going a goal down and then losing a man shortly afterwards was tough for my players. We tried to get back into it after half-time, but they showed their quality. We have to live with the defeat.

Vedad Ibisevic: I'm relieved that we can celebrate an away win again after five straight defeats. And personally, no player likes sitting on the bench, but I hope my football did the talking today. 'Johnny' also deserves credit for his two assists, he did really well for the goals.

Andreas Beck: We really enjoyed ourselves today. We played with a relaxed attitude and I think it showed in our performance. We played with maturity, and the win was an overdue reward for how we've been playing of late.

Fabian Johnson: We deserved to win because we controlled the game for the 90 minutes. We scored two great goals as well. Marvin Compper's red card was unfortunate and hard to take. But we're now in a good place ahead of the last two games against Berlin and Augsburg before the winter break.
