Per Nilsson moves to Nürnberg

Defensive specialist Per Nilsson had opted to leave 1899 Hoffenheim after 3 years at the club, and has signed on at 1. FC Nürnberg for the upcoming season.

The 27-year old has signed a 3-year contract at the club. "Per has done a great service for Hoffenheim. We complied with the player's wishes and did not stand in the way of him listening to offers from interested parties", explained manager Ernst Tanner.

"I'm pleased that the transfer has been completed. I want to be on the pitch more and believe that I will have more chance of doing that at Nürnberg. I had a wonderful time in Hoffenheim, one that I will never forget. I have met a lot of nice people and I'm thankful for the chance the club gave me," stated Per Nilsson. Both clubs have decided not to disclose the transfer fee.
