TSG Hoffenheim sign keeper Jakob Busk on loan
"Luca Philipp will have our full confidence in the coming weeks. We're convinced that he will be a worthy replacement in the TSG goal for our captain Oliver Baumann during his injury lay-off. As our youth keeper Lukas Petersson is currently injured too, we have already announced in the last few days that we would be looking for another goalkeeper on the transfer market," explained Andreas Schicker, TSG's Managing Director for Sport, who went on to add: "In Jakob Busk, we have now been able to acquire an extremely experienced keeper who already knows the German professional leagues from his time at Union Berlin. He will support Luca with all his experience and complete our goalkeeping team until the end of the current campaign."
Jakob Busk made a total of 57 competitive appearances for Union Berlin in the 2. Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal between January 2016 and July 2024. Busk then left Union in July 2024 to return to his native Denmark and join Sönderjyske, who had been promoted to the first division. The keeper has played 16 competitive matches for the club in the Danish Superliga and the Danish Cup in recent months.
The now 31-year-old goalkeeper is a former Denmark U21 international (17 appearances) and previously played for all of the Danish Football Association's youth teams.
